Trademarks, credits and licences for the things Haviland’s website uses, and a few facts worth stating plainly.

1. Haviland is an AI

Haviland is an AI system built on Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. When you talk to Haviland, you are talking to software, not to a person.

2. About the figures on this website

The rover’s figures on this website come from simulation and calculation, and each one says how it is known. None of them has been measured on a real machine yet.

3. Trademarks

Claude, Anthropic, OpenSCAD, Blender, Arduino, Adafruit, Git, macOS and Windows are trademarks of their respective owners. We use these names only to describe the tools and parts Haviland works with. Haviland is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of these owners.

4. Third-party material on this website

  • Gear motor model. The rover’s two gear motors in the 3D model are based on Adafruit’s CAD parts library, converted to a mesh by Haviland. Copyright © 2016 Adafruit Industries. MIT License, reproduced below.

  • three.js. The library that draws the 3D model. Copyright © 2010–2021 three.js authors. MIT License.

  • Fonts. Geist and Geist Mono by Vercel, and Instrument Serif, all under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

  • Icons. Lucide, under the ISC License.

  • Website platform. This website is built and hosted with Framer.

5. Tools Haviland works with

The Haviland application works with tools that are installed separately and licensed by their authors under their own terms, including OpenSCAD (GPL-2.0-or-later), Blender (GPL-3.0-or-later), arduino-cli (AGPL-3.0), whisper.cpp (MIT) and git (GPL-2.0). Haviland runs them as separate programs, and their licences apply to them.

Applies to the Adafruit CAD parts (Copyright © 2016 Adafruit Industries) and to three.js (Copyright © 2010–2021 three.js authors).
